Whose information, and what kind.
| Whose | What |
|---|---|

| Suppliers and contractors | Contact details, banking details, agreements |
Who may receive it. Hosting, email, storage, payment, accounting, analytics, advertising and AI service providers; contractors on a project; our accountant; and authorities where the law requires it.
Transfers outside South Africa. Some service providers store information outside South Africa, mainly in the United States and Europe, under laws or contracts that give similar protection to POPIA.
Security. Encrypted connections, limited access and regular software updates.
7. How to request a record
- Complete Form 2, the request for access form, from the Regulator’s PAIA forms page.
- Say which record you want, and which right you are trying to exercise or protect.
- Send the form to our Information Officer at [email protected] or our street address.
- Give proof of who you are. If you are asking for someone else, give proof that you may act for them.
We answer within 30 days. PAIA allows us to extend this once, by up to 30 days, and we will tell you if we do.
8. Fees
PAIA regulations set the fees. A request fee is payable before we process a request, unless you are asking for your own personal information. Access fees cover searching, preparing and copying. The current amounts are in the Regulator’s PAIA fee structure.
9. When we may refuse
We may refuse a request on the grounds in Chapter 4 of Part 3 of PAIA. These include protecting another person’s privacy, another business’s commercial information, confidential information, legal privilege and our own commercial information.
10. If you are not satisfied
We have no internal appeal process. If we refuse your request, or you are unhappy with our decision, you may within 180 days:
- complain to the Information Regulator at [email protected]; or
- apply to court.
11. Availability and updates
This manual is on our website and available at our street address during business hours. We send it to anyone who asks, and to the Information Regulator on request. We review it regularly and update it when things change.
